Owners Of Lizzie Borden House Hiring Ghost Hunter
by Roger Norquist
The new owners of the infamous Lizzie Borden House are seeking to fill a new position, resident ghost hunter responsible for leading nightly paranormal investigations.
The Borden House was the scene of the double murder of Andrew and Abby Borden. The couple was murdered with an ax in 1892. Their daughter, Lizzie, was seen as the prime suspect in one of the United States’ first sensationalized true crime stories. Lizzie’s trial ended in her acquittal.
The Borden house is now thought to be haunted by the people and events of the gruesome crime. Many visit the house each year because of its dark history and claims of ghosts. The recent interest in both the history and ghosts of the house is the cause for the owners filling this unusual position.
The Company, US Ghost Adventures, wants to offer nightly ghost hunts lead by professional ghost hunters. The job is part-time, at the rate of $15 to $25 per hour. All applicants are required to have 2-years of experience in “paranormal investigation.”
