Chinese Military “Overwhelmed” By Surge in UFO Reports
“The object was described as a “short-legged mushroom” with beams of light shooting down from its underside.”

According to the South China Morning Post, The Chinese military has been tracking UFOs and for the past few years recorded an uptick in sightings.
"Overwhelmed”
The People’s Liberation Army (PLA) analysts have been “overwhelmed” by the number of sightings reported in recent years. The sources are coming from military and civilian sources causing a backlog in report classification prompting the PLA UFO Task Force to rely on A.I. to help classify cases.
Many of the reports are categorized as natural phenomena backed by data from radar and other sensors. A radar scientist quoted by the paper said the UFOs in China’s airspace are “more likely caused by humans than aliens.”
The PLA uses a three-tiered system to record UFO sightings relying on data and reports from military radar stations, military pilots, police stations, weather stations, and the Chinese Academy of Science observatories; gathering as much data as possible about the bizarre aerial phenomenon.
Data is then processed by analysts for the PLA for preliminary study. The sighting is then submitted to the national database where PLA assigns a “Threat Index” to each sighting. The PLA assesses the “threat index” based on object behavior, physical features, and anything else which may be of value.
China’s Confirmed UFO Sighting
Information from any country is sometimes hard to come by especially in matters countries consider national security. The Chinese government has only confirmed one UFO sightings in their history.
China’s only confirmed UFO sighting happened in 1998. Two military jets intercepted a low-flying object that entered the airspace on an airbase in Cangzhou, Hebei province.
A “Short-legged mushroom” with lights beaming down from the body. The UFO accelerated at high speeds reaching a distance of 20,000 meters before vanishing from the radar in a “Ghostlike” fashion. The incident was published in an official state newspaper.
NASA
Bill Nelson, chief administrator of NASA said the agency is looking into evidence released by the Pentagon.
“I have talked to those Navy pilots, and they are sure that they saw something real. And of course, we’ve seen their video from their jets. What is it? We don’t know”, Nelson said.
“So now that I’m here at Nasa, I’ve turned to our scientists and I’ve said: ‘Would you, looking at it from a scientific standpoint, see if you can determine, so that we can have a better idea?’
