Bigfoot was seen laying down on highway 101 shoulder
A motorist claims to have spotted the legendary Bigfoot on the 101 highway near the town of Garberville, California on January 23 2021 around 8:15 PM.
The motorist, Rick Bates, reported the event to The Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization (BFRO) who published the claim to their website.
Bates was driving home from Oregon on January 23. When he reached the known turns on highway 101 south of Garberville, an area with reduced speeds, a strange figure appeared on the southbound shoulder of the highway.
Bates claims the creature was laying on its side allowing the motorist to get a judgment of the creature’s size, which he claims was about 7ft tall.
“I was looking at the creature’s back and noticed it had broad shoulders and was thick torso shape. While the shape similar to a human it was not human,” Bates reported to BFRO.
“It was not a bear either. hat tapered toward the top and being held off the ground. Its hair was chocolate brown and very course. The hair was not fur like of a bear at all.”
Bates quickly turned around to head back to make sure he had actually seen what he did but the creature was gone by the time he returned.
Bates is a self-proclaimed “Avid Hunter and Fisherman” and spends a bulk of his time in the woods.
“I spent every summer camping in that area as well as a kid. I have never seen anything like what I saw just this evening,” Bates ended his report.
