Woman Calls Authorities On Neighbor For Sending Ghost

On May 22, 2021, inspectors from Mid-Sussex, United Kingdom, got a call from a woman in the area claiming her neighbor has sent a ghost to haunt her house.

Inspector Darren Taylor was called to the scene to handle the spirit summoning claim. The call came around midnight on the morning of May 22.

Inspector Tayler told the Mid Sussex Times, “We get all kinds of weird and wonderful calls into 999, but people need to be aware that when they call the emergency number they are blocking people getting through who are in a real emergency.”

The police could do little about the possibility of a ghost sent to haunt the victim's house. Authorities provided some kind words to the woman, told her the house was not infested by an evil spirit, then explained what emergencies qualified police intervention.
